Feelin' Myself is Spotify's hip-hop editorial sister to Rap Caviar. Dedicated to celebrating Black Women in rap and their cultural influence on style and trends, having a fashion show where we partnered with upcoming designer and awarded icon Lil Kim was an appropriate way to bring in Women's Month.

Personally, Rip The Runway (RTR) was a big influence - it was so culturally impactful. Before RTR, I hadn’t seen much I related to reflected in fashion shows as a kid. The Zac Posen x NERD RTR episode being so memorable. Pharrell raging in the back amid a full fledged, (and kinda formal?) runway show. Two very different energies working together so fluidly; my eyes still gloss over revisiting it.

Refocusing that reference for Feelin' Myself during - it just made sense.

Black Women in Hip-Hop have always been at the helm of fashion trends, though not always credited. So it was important to use the moment to honor the most high: Hip-Hop & Fashion Icon Lil Kim the Queen Bee.

The show continued with artists Coi Leray, Bia, and Baby Tate. Capsule presented in homage to hip-hop in partnership w/ rising black woman designer Latoia Fitzgerald of Lionne.

Having dj’d @rapcaviar‘s first all women Miami show in 2019 (before being part of the team) vs now, ideating + hosting the first ever, Feelin' Myself Fashion Show, it was full circle for me.
